Abseiling
Our abseiling tower is set in a secluded and sheltered area amongst the trees on Forest Edge property. The tower stands at 13.5 metres tall and is constructed of a steel frame with a wooden abseil surface. This activity has become one of our most popular and is designed for pushing people outside their comfort zones. At the start of the session all participants are given harnesses, helmets, gloves and descending devices and are shown the correct us of each piece of gear. Participants are attached to an ascending device while they climb the steel ladder to the top so that they are kept safe the entire time. Once they begin their abseil, each person is attached to two ropes; an abseil rope and a belay line (brake line held by a qualified instructor) to keep them safe as they decend.
Groups can choose to have a single session which is 1 ½ hours with two instructors, a double session of 3 ½ hours with one instructor or a double session of 3 ½ hours with two instructors.
