Canoeing - Flat Water

Canoeing is a great activity for students during the warmer months but can also be a fun experience in winter.  Depending on water levels, the canoeing is run at either the Waroona Dam (Lake Navarino) or the Drakesbrook Weir.  Before paddling off, participants are fitted with life jackets and are taught safety procedures and canoeing skills on the bank to ensure everyone is kept safe. Once out on the water, groups go for a leisurely paddle where they learn quickly that in order to paddle straight, you must work together.  Once everyone is confident with paddling we play a few games which usually results in capsizing their canoes for a bit of fun.

Flat water canoeing session run for 1 ½ hours.
