About Us…
Forest Edge Recreation Camp has been operating successfully for the past 22 years. We take pride in providing every participant with great food, great activities and a fantastic environment for personal development and building friendships.
Forest Edge has been strategically placed to take full advantage of spectacular views of surrounding countryside through 35kms to the coast. The camp is situated 1.5 hours south of Perth, borders state forest, and is only minutes away from the Waroona Dam.
Forest Edge was created by Phil Hewton in 1983 to cater for school groups. The camp aims to provide challenging activities, encouraging participants to learn the principles of teamwork and achieve a higher level of self-esteem.
Now after 22 years of operation, there are many thousands of satisfied clients, who have departed with a feeling of great achievement, whilst having a great deal of fun in the process. Last year there were over 80 schools, family, sporting, church, and corporate groups who enjoyed the experience of Forest Edge.
Forest Edge was purchased by Graeme and Sonia Watson in 2006. Now under new ownership, the Watson’s bring to Forest Edge exciting new ideas, enthusiasm and commitment to continue the professional and successful enterprise.
Accommodation: The camp building sleeps up to 140 people and is fully self contained. Sole occupancy is guaranteed with a minimum daily charge applied at a rate equivalent to 35 people.
Catering: The majority of groups staying with us choose to have their camp fully catered (which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas & supper) by our fantastic kichen staff. Over the years the kitchen staff have built up an outstanding reputation for providing groups with mouth-watering meals and yummy treats.
